Nintendos Wii Fit
also comes with with the Wii Fit Channel that keeps track
of different family members individual progress along
with the Wii Fit Charts and records.
This very popular Wii
program has been ranked a favorite amongst kids,
teenagers, parents and even seniors.
It has allowed
people from all ages and walks of life to exercise while
being entertained.
The program uses the
Wii Balance Board to re enact your real life movements
and brings them to life on the screen.
From light exercises
and balance games, through to 10 minute aerobic exercises
that will get your heart pumping.
Apart from fitness
and having fun with balance games such as snow boarding
down a mountain, or walking a tight rope, the program
allows you to input your own personal figures, such as
height and weight.
It will work out your
centre of balance, your posture and Body Mass
Index.
For those people
uncomfortable with others seeing their personal
statistics, there is a pin code feature so the kids or
others can’t access your personal
details.
It is recommended
that you spend some time entering in your families rough
details into the program before sharing it with the kids,
as it does take a few minutes per
person.
When you get a number
of family members lining up to take their shot on the
balance board, it can get a little frustrating for them
while you are entering their details into the
program.
Something for
every one!
Yoga is really
great for improving ones posture and to stretch those
muscles.
The onscreen
instructor takes you through 4 different poses – The tree
pose, the warrior, the warrior and deep
breathing.
Due to the balance
board, the onscreen instructor will know if you are
shaking or having other difficulties, and will give
helpful tips on how to retain the pose or advising on
shifting your centre of balance.
Balance games are good
for re centering your body and posture.
The balance games
include soccer heading (heading a soccer ball) Ski Salom,
the Ski Jump and the Table Tilt.
The Table Tilt is
great fun to watch as players try to shift their weight
on the balance board in order to tilt the onscreen
floating platforms and draw multi colored balls through
the platforms holes.

basic step exercises, go jogging and with the remotes,
you can even go for a run with some one else – go for a
light jog or hold races – it’s all up to
you!
The Wii Fit should
be a must have for all families – it helps keep all
family members fit while providing great family

entertainment!
